One home for mosque stories worldwide.
OurMosques is designed as a public discovery layer for mosques — not as the website of any single mosque, country or organisation.
What we are building
People often discover a mosque through a map pin or a single social post. OurMosques aims to give each mosque a richer, durable profile: architecture and history, practical visitor information, facilities, learning, programmes, community work, development and authentic contributed media.
How the platform grows
The founding collection begins with Singapore and Malaysia because that is where our initial media and contacts are strongest. The data model, contribution rules and design are intentionally global from the start, so new countries can be added without rebuilding the platform.
Independent by design
Unless a profile explicitly says otherwise, OurMosques is not operated by, endorsed by, or formally affiliated with the mosque shown. Official contact details and source links are provided so visitors can verify important information directly.
Growing with purpose
OurMosques is more than a directory. It is a growing home for the stories, history, beauty and community life of mosques around the world.
We hope to build something meaningful for our loved ones at home, for those travelling and discovering new places, and especially for the younger generation — a place where they can explore, learn, appreciate and eventually contribute their own photographs, memories and knowledge.
Every mosque has a story. Some have stood for generations, some have been rebuilt, and some quietly serve their neighbourhoods every day. By bringing these stories together, we hope to preserve heritage that may otherwise disappear with time while sharing useful and wholesome information that can benefit people far beyond the communities in which each mosque stands.
As this initiative grows, our hope is that it becomes a trusted and beneficial resource for all mankind — connecting people, preserving history, encouraging understanding, and highlighting the many ways mosques serve their communities. In time, it may also help communities see where support is needed, improve facilities and services, and create responsible ways for people to contribute towards the continued care and development of mosques worldwide.
