Plain-language working policy. These terms are designed for the launch structure of OurMosques and should be professionally reviewed before high-volume international submissions, commercial licensing or fundraising are introduced.

Respecting creators

Photography, video and other contributed works remain owned by their respective copyright holders unless an explicit transfer says otherwise. OurMosques publishes contributed media under licences granted by contributors or other lawful permissions.

If you believe material infringes your rights

Send a notice identifying the material, the page where it appears, the right you claim, enough information for us to understand the issue, and a reliable way to contact you. We may temporarily disable material while reviewing a credible claim.

False or misleading claims

Please do not submit takedown notices for work you do not own or control. We may request supporting evidence where ownership or authority is unclear.

Founding collection

Much of the first OurMosques imagery comes from project photography and personal mosque visits contributed by the founding team and collaborators. Credits are shown where appropriate.
