Copyright notice. The OurMosques brand, original site text, graphics, page layouts, source code, editorial presentation and founding photography are protected to the extent provided by applicable law. Contributor photographs remain subject to the rights and licences described below.

Our original work

OurMosques claims copyright in original material created for the platform, including original writing, graphics, site code, selection and arrangement of content, and photography owned by the founding team. A copyright notice does not create rights that do not otherwise exist, but it makes our ownership position clear.

Respecting contributors

Contributed photographs and other works remain owned by their respective copyright holders unless an explicit transfer says otherwise. OurMosques publishes contributed material under licences granted by contributors or other lawful permissions and normally credits accepted photographs using the contributor’s supplied public credit name.

No bulk copying or cloning

Do not scrape, mirror, bulk-download, reconstruct or commercially republish the OurMosques directory, galleries, original descriptions, curated metadata or site design as a competing service without written permission. Individual facts about mosques may of course exist independently and may come from public or official sources; our copyright claim is directed at our original expression, photography, code, design and curation, not ownership of public facts or the general idea of a mosque directory.

If you believe material infringes your rights

Send a notice identifying the material, the page where it appears, the right you claim, enough information for us to understand the issue, and a reliable way to contact you. We may temporarily disable material while reviewing a credible claim.

False or misleading claims

Please do not submit takedown notices for work you do not own or control. We may request supporting evidence where ownership or authority is unclear.

Founding collection

Much of the first OurMosques imagery comes from mosque photography beginning in 2018 through the founding project and collaborators. Credits are shown where appropriate, and archive dates are preserved where known.
